Doctor Talk: 'What's new for shoulder replacements and rotator cuff repair surgery'

Orthopedic surgeon to share presentation May 4

Dr. Stephan Sweet, a highly respected and board-certified orthopedic surgeon, will be giving a talk 3:45-4:45 p.m. on May 4 at Camarillo Health Care District, 3639 Las Posas Road, in Camarillo. His topic will be "What’s new for shoulder replacements and rotator cuff repair surgery."

With a background that includes a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University, a medical degree from Georgetown University, and an orthopedics surgery residency at the University of Southern California, Dr. Sweet has a wealth of knowledge to share.

He has also completed a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at UCLA, where he gained valuable experience treating shoulder, knee, and hip conditions with minimally invasive procedures. His innovative approach allows patients to return to their regular activities quickly, and his positive and warm bedside manner has earned him high patient satisfaction ratings.

In addition to his medical training, Dr. Sweet has an impressive educational background, including Emory University and the University of Pennsylvania. He has participated in award-winning orthopedic research projects, been published in journals, and contributed to a sports medicine textbook. In his free time, he enjoys movies, sports, exercising, travel, and spending time with his wife and young daughter.
