New online registration system launches

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new online registration system that will make it easier for you to register for classes on our website any time of the day or night.

We invite you to first set up an account. Then you'll be able to register. If you need assistance, please call 805-388-1952, ext. 100 or 101, to speak directly to one of our customer service representatives who can walk you through the process or set up your account.

Summer registration is open online for all Digital Literacy, Virtual Reality and Yoga classes. Registration for Fall Prevention classes Tai Chi, Matter of Balance and Bingocize, as well as Doctor Talks, will open for online registration on Sept. 1. Family Caregiving classes and Advocacy programs, including Financial Planning, Elder Legal, Senior Nutrition Counseling and Scam & Fraud Intervention Coaching will be available for online registration beginning Jan. 1, 2027. In the meantime, you can continue to call us to register.

This phased approach will ensure a smooth transition.

You'll see the classes when clicking on "Register" next to "Contact Us" on our website, by looking under the "Classes" menu or by going directly to the page of the category of classes you are looking for, such as "Digital Literacy."

Next, you can either use the "Search Register" box to look up a class or click on "Summer 2026." When you click on "Summer 2026," you'll be presented with several options: Fall Prevention, Family Caregiving, Digital Literacy, Presentations and Advocacy, once all are made available for online registration.

Under each category, you'll see more options. For example, under Fall Prevention, you'll see a plus button and "Moving and Strengthening." Click on the plus icon to see what's available. For instance, Yoga is under "Moving and Strengthening." To register, click on "Register for Session" or "Register for Drop-In,"  in cases where you can register for a single session in a series of classes (available for Yoga).

Once you make your selection, you'll be prompted to set up your Amilia SmartRec account and then you can pay the District online with a credit card or electronic check. If you are currently using Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District's online registration system, this is the same platform, so you'll be a pro at it.

You can also choose to make donations when you click on "Merchandise." You now have the option to donate to our Adult Day Center, Family Caregiver Center, Fall Prevention or Home-Delivered Meals Program. For example donations to Home-Delivered Meals can be made in $4 increments. If you want to donate $20 total, select your quantity as 5 and "Add to Cart." Then click on your cart and select "Checkout."

In the future, we also will have the ability to check you into your class using a tablet or you can check yourself in. Download the Amilia SmartRec app on your phone to register or manage your calendar of classes. A bar code will be available under your profile for easy electronic check-in. If you need assistance, call 805-388-1952 for a free appointment through our Digital Bridge Program and we will assist you in downloading the application and show you how to navigate it.

All classes must be paid for in advance to secure a seat and any wait lists generated for an individual class will reset before the next offering. All forms will be presented to you in the system and you can click on "agree." Multiple people can be register through one account.

We hope having the opportunity to register for classes online will make the process easier for you. If you have any questions or need help, please don't hesitate to call. Our customer service representatives are available Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
