Dr Kay Anand will present " Demystifying Oncology Treatments" 2:30-3:30 p.m. on April 16 at Camarillo Health Care District, 3639 Las Posas Road, in Camarillo.

Dr. Anand's passion for medicine started at a very young age when she would often run into her father's cardiology clinic and beg to do EKGs and help with patient registration. It was no surprise that she entered medical school directly from high school. She then pursued a three-year internship in internal medicine in the NHS trust system in the UK before moving to New York.

Dr. Anand graduated fellowship In 1998 in Medical Oncology from Albert Einstein University in New York, and pursued a career in private practice in Arizona, Nevada and finally in Los Angeles for the last 25 years. She has a special interest in the treatment of lung cancer and the medical management of gynecological cancers such as ovarian, uterine, and cervical cancers. Her practice focuses on a patient centered approach, amalgamating her patients' goals with modern advances in cancer treatments.
