The Kroll Library

The Kroll Library, generously named by Mr. and Mrs. George and Alda Kroll, offers a wide variety of information, education and resources to help you during a season of caregiving. If you and your family have taken on the role of caregiver for a loved one, please know there is support, information and resources readily available, with friendly, helpful assistance in utilizing the Internet or watching the DVDs. The library contains books, videos, and audio tapes on a range of health related topics of particular interest to caregivers, aged 60 and older, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, stroke, bathing techniques, guides that provide a road map for balance and self-care, and much more. These items may be reviewed on site, or be checked out for personal viewing as well.

The cozy and convenient environment of the Kroll Library promotes a sense of empowerment, refreshment and education, in a quiet and self-paced manner, and the information you gain can help minimize a sense of "burnout". Studies have shown that this type of information can increase the caregiver's sense of well-being, enhance the caregiving experience, and extend the length of time a caregiver is able to care for their loved one in the home.

Please stop in Monday through Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, or call for further information at 1-800-900-8582.

Generously supported in part by grants from the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging and the CHCD Volunteer Guild.
