Transportation

Tired of the hassles and worries of driving to your medical appointments? Let the Care-A-Van transportation service drive for you! Care-A-Van provides door-to-door, non-emergency, medical paratransit service from Camarillo throughout Ventura County and to Kaiser Hospital in Woodland Hills.

Drivers are trained in CPR and First Aid, and have additional training in transporting frail, elderly and mobility-challenged riders. The Care-A-Van vehicles are equipped with hydraulic lifts and can accommodate wheelchair clients, oxygen canisters, and other assistive mobility devices. We are sorry, but the vehicles are not equipped to carry electric wheelchairs, scooters, or other similarly heavy chairs. If you require wheelchair transport, a standard wheelchair can be provided during your ride. Please inform the scheduling office of your needs when you make your reservation.

Through a collaborative partnership with the Ventura County Transportation Commission, a special rate applies for ADA-certified riders for trips to the Conejo Valley.

Ticket books are available for pre-purchase, and caregivers or care attendants may accompany the rider at no charge. Transportation to the Senior Lunch mealsite can be provided to senior citizens on a donation-basis with prior reservations.
