Adult Day Support Services Adult Day Support Services at the Camarillo Health Care District are state-licensed day programs that offer support, comfort and stimulation for adults who could benefit from additional supervision and social interaction during the day. Programming includes a variety of social and supportive services in a safe and compassionate environment. Participants may be physically, mentally, or functionally impaired, or they may simply need companionship and additional supervision and safety during the day.
In conjunction with adult day services, people with health issues such as Alzheimer's disease, early dementia, Parkinson's disease, chronic illnesses, or other physical or cognitive disabilities can continue to live in the community while receiving professional services in a group setting. Studies continue to show that enrollment in an adult day support program can help maximize a member's health and overall outlook, as well as postpone institutionalization for up to 18 months.
All Adult Day Support Services staff are CPR-certified and trained in FirstAid. Ongoing education and training in mobility assistance and special populations ensures appropriate and safe care.
