Pleasant Valley Neighborhood
for Learning

The PLEASANT VALLEY NEIGHBORHOOD FOR LEARNING (PVNfL), administered by the Camarillo Health Care District, offers a variety of support and services to help you make sure your child enters kindergarten healthy and ready to succeed. Along with preschools at local elementary schools (Dos Caminos, El Descanso, Las Posas Elementary and University Preparation), PVNfL operates a Family Resource Center that offers daily parent/child early literacy activities

School readiness is much more than academics! Young children's optimal development depends on many factors, and we can direct you to variety of resources including Healthy Families low cost health insurance enrollment, mental health counseling and health services. We also have ongoing parenting classes to support you in getting your child school ready.

University-educated therapists, and hand-picked pre-licensed therapists will conduct group and individual counseling services at the District on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays by appointment. Services include counseling for adults, children, adolescents, couples, families, and senior citizens.

These free services are in your neighborhood! Please drop by or give us a call to see how we can help your family grow and be ready to succeed in school and in life.

Pleasant Valley Neighborhood for Learning is primarily supported through a grant from First 5 Ventura County. Additional funding is received from the Rotary Foundation of Camarillo, Camarillo Health Care District, Breakfast Rotary Club of Camarillo and Hishmeh Enterprises DBA Domino's Pizza.
