Operations Officer Elected to Chamber Board of Directors
Kara Partridge Ralston, SDA, Chief Operations Officer of the Camarillo Health Care District, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce. The Camarillo Chamber of Commerce is an association of business, organizations, education, and government with nearly 800 members. Founded in 1940, the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce promotes and enhances the commercial, professional, economic and educational well being of Camarillo, acts in an advocacy role in representing the business community at the local, state and federal level, and is a founding member of the Regional Legislative Alliance of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
Resource Officer Named to Statewide Steering Committee
Sue Tatangelo, MAOM, Chief Resource Officer, has been appointed to the California Department on Aging's (CDA) Evidence-Based Health Promotion Statewide Steering Committee. The purpose of this Committee is to enhance the effectiveness of the Evidence-Based Health Promotion grant project which implements programs and activities for older adults with chronic health and functional conditions in order to promote their health and well-being. This Committee will help maximize collaborations of key state and local partners to share information, advice, resources and expertise from diverse perspectives, and support the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program in Ventura County. Ms. Tatangelo has also recently been elected to the Board of Directors of the Ventura County Credit Union (VCCU), having served 10 years on the Supervisory Committee of the VCCU. The position on the Board of Directors is part of the management team that includes a supervisory/audit committee, and a credit committee. The Board of Directors is responsible for directing and controlling the affairs of the credit union and providing effective and efficient management of overall operations. Vice-Chairperson of the VCCU Supervisory Committee
Susan Craig, CPA,CIA, CFE, Chief Financial Officer of the Camarillo Health Care District was appointed as Vice-Chairperson of the Supervisory Committee of the Ventura County Credit Union. The Supervisory Committee is responsible for ensuring that the board of directors and management of the credit union meet required financial reporting objectives and establish practices and procedures sufficient to safeguard members' assets. Ms. Craig was elected to the VCCU Supervisory Committee in 2009.
Human Resources Officer Completes Training
Tammy Washington, Chief Human Resources Officer, has been recognized for her completion of an 11-week curriculum toward the professional designation of IPMA-CP, from the International Public Management Association. The curriculum included; self-assessment, building teams; coaching staff, resolving disputes, reaching consensus, creating a risk-taking environment, communication skills, building trust relationships, and using consensus and coalition-building skills. Having completed this coursework, Ms. Washington joins an elite group of highly skilled and trained Human Resource professionals...Congratulations!
