Depression
Depression is NOT a normal part of aging. Depression hurts everyone. Through a partnership with Morbrook Institute, the Camarillo Health Care District offers a wide range of counseling services, as well as occasional classes and workshops on coping with depression. Morbrook Institute, a full-service individual and group counseling agency, was founded nearly 25 years ago and specializes in counseling for adults, children, adolescents, couples, families, and senior citizens. Services also include a Childhood Cancer Program, School Violence Prevention Program, Seniors Program, and a variety of support groups. Depression screening is available year-round by appointment only.

Have you had a loss of interest, low energy, sleeping too much, or too little, gained or lost weight, or experiencing restlessness, or irritability? Do you have thoughts of harming yourself? If you have four or more of these symptoms that last most of the day, nearly every day for a period of two weeks or longer, you are depressed. Learn about the causes and treatments for depression.
