Special Achievement Award issued by Association of California Healthcare Districts (ACHD)
October, 2000 – The Camarillo Health Care District was selected as California’s Outstanding Healthcare District in recognition of a healthcare district that implements services and programs that improve community health and well-being, and offers an added value to the community. The Camarillo Health Care District, selected from among 57 other health care districts, is recognized statewide as a model of leading edge, innovative wellness programs.
Service Organization Award issued by the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce Top Ten Awards
February, 2007 - Through nomination and selection process, the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce Top Ten Awards announces that the community has selected the Camarillo Health Care District as the top Service Organization Award winner for 2007, recognizing outstanding service, above and beyond, to the Camarillo community.
Ventura County Family-Friendly Employer Award issued by Business Work-Life Alliance of VC
June, 2008 - For the seventh consecutive year, the Camarillo Health Care District is pleased to receive the distinguished honor of being a Family Friend Employer. This award recognizes and commends workplace practices that support work-life balance which strengthen our greater community as a whole.
Executive Team Award for State of California issued by Association of CA Health Care Districts
May, 2010 – The Camarillo Health Care District was honored as with the state-wide “Executive Team Award” from the Association of California Healthcare Districts (ACHD), recognition of visionary leadership, and for setting the standard for the integration of a public entity with the residents and leaders of a community; the seamless interconnection of its diverse health and wellness mission with the professional, business and civic leadership community; and, a talented, motivated and emotionally committed staff.
Statewide “Best of 2010” Recognition issued by Association of CA Health Care Districts
January, 2011 – The Camarillo Health Care District’s Chronic Disease Self-Management Program at the Wellness & Caregiver Center of Ventura County, is honored to receive designation as “Best of 2010” from the Association of California Healthcare Districts (ACHD). This designation recognizes that the Camarillo Health Care District has collaborated and partnered in a unique and innovative manner to bring added-value services to the community. The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program utilizes Stanford University’s Healthier Living Program, is an award-winning program based on a 6-week series of evidence-based workshops developed specifically for people living with chronic health issues.
